The glossy oval leaves are highly ornamental and turn an outstanding pink in the fall, which persists throughout the winter. It produces pink capsules from mid to late fall. Landscape Attributes Emerald 'n' Gold Euonymus is a multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with a ground-hugging habit of growth. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other landscape plants with less refined foliage. This is a relatively low maintenance shrub, and can be pruned at anytime. It has no significant negative characteristics. Emerald 'n' Gold Euonymus is recommended for the following landscape applications; Planting & Growing Emerald 'n' Gold Euonymus will grow to be about 24 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 4 feet. It tends to fill out right to the ground and therefore doesn't necessarily require facer plants in front. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. This plant should be periodically fertilized throughout the active growing season with a specially-formulated acidic fertilizer. It is not particular as to soil type or pH.
