It has attractive creamy white-variegated green foliage. The narrow leaves are highly ornamental and remain green throughout the winter. Landscape Attributes Daphne, Carol Mackie is a multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other landscape plants with less refined foliage. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep. Trim off the flower heads after they fade and die to encourage more blooms late into the season. It has no significant negative characteristics.
